The UK Electoral Roll is a definitive list of all people who are eligible to vote at a UK address. It is also known as the Electoral Register, register of electors and UK Voters Roll. The UK electoral roll is a useful tool in tracing a person to an address and is updated monthly on a rolling register. That said over 46% are not recorded against the current year UK voters roll and is not a definitive list of those persons resident at a UK address.

Since 2002, there are 2 versions available, Full Electoral Roll and Edited Electoral Roll. The full Electoral Roll lists all people who are entitled to vote but access is restricted by law, only the Police, security services and credit reference agencies can search the full version of the UK electoral roll. Credit reference agencies can perform searches upon the full Electoral Roll if and when people apply for credit or to prevent a financial crime.
